Eyes on Exoplanets
The project delves into the scientific and speculative aspects of digitally depicting vast planetary landscapes, focusing on AU Microscopii B as the subject. By investigating the characteristics of the existing exoplanet, the project employs various multiplatform software to visualize and portray its distinct features and properties. From crafting the overall structure to simulating terrain formations and envisioning planetary ecosystems, the project explores the potential for comprehending objects that remain physically inaccessible to human observation.
The objective entails the visual representation and simulation of three distinct scales, namely the Satellite Scale, Landscape Scale, and Detailed Scale. Each level of intervention delves into the examination of terrain, geology, and speculative life forms and chemicals. Through metaphorical connections to real-world references, an aesthetic and formal framework is meticulously crafted to unify and define all three scales.
