Post Apocalyptic Train

The use of a cinematic horizontal pan shot in this film creates a powerful visual experience as it contrasts and juxtaposes two different points in time. This technique emphasizes the abandoned and neglected nature of the past and suggests a hint of mystery and intrigue about the future. It immerses the audience in the story by visually connecting the past and the future, and evokes emotions through the use of computer graphics.

In this film, the idea of a future point in time is metaphorically represented through the use of computer graphics depicting mutated robots and electronic screens taking over an abandoned train. This serves as a powerful visual metaphor, emphasizing the synthetic and artificial nature of these beings, which are key aspects of the story. This cinematic technique immerses the audience in the story by providing a vivid and striking visual representation of the future, evoking a sense of unease and possibly even fear about the potential consequences of humanity's relationship with technology.

It was almost dusk on a fine autumn day, in a city west of Brooklyn. The year was 2050 and the existence of humans was on the brink of extinction. In the aftermath of the chaos that took place with the apocalypse 9 months ago, the train was left abandoned, isolated in a tunnel in a less frequented part of the city. People had left the train in a hurry, leaving behind their belongings in the rush of trying to save their lives from the wrath of the apocalypse. After the passing of 9 months, vegetation had started seeping through the cracks and openings, manifesting itself on every surface it found. The moss was emitting an earthy smell that had started to fill up the room. The presence of vegetation in the train had also started attracting insects. Between the germination of the plants and the news of a dangerous virus that broke out creating a pandemic, a scientist had found resort in the train, considering the abandoned train to be his secret safe haven. There was equipment set up in the train, research for a possible way of teleportation stored on the computer. A large chair surrounded by the screens was also positioned in a way that it had its back against the windows of the train, a way to detach from the real world. There were remnants of half eaten food and torn clothes sprawled on the train’s floor. The scientist’s equipment was rusty due to the moisture from the moss and there were posters of missing and wanted people stuck on the window panes. In the very little natural light flooding the train, the aftermath of the apocalypse was seen, faulty wiring and smoke coming from the equipment, the train had started to decay.
